Grateful Posting: Vitamin Water 10

~ Vitamin Water 10 ~

I LOVE Vitamin waters, I am not sure why…but after a work out, it is ALL that I crave. But they have so many calories so it was almost not worth it to drink them after I worked out. Until they came out with the Vitamin Water 10 line…only 10 calories. SCORE!

Back in the day when I worked for a water park, I got heat stroke and became extremely dehydrated. That was one of the WORST feeling. So, ever since then I have been prone to dehydration. Today, I am extremely grateful for Vitamin Waters! Teaching my class tonight was very very difficult for me, I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather and I think my body just finally had it with me and needed to tell me that I was dehydrated. So after two bottles of regular water and 1 Vitamin Water 10, I feel so much better.

NOTE TO SELF: You teach 5-7 Jazzercise classes a week, STAY HYDRATED!!

Mantra Monday: Become the ring leader

Mantra Monday

~ Become a ring leader ~

My life has been a circus lately. Trying to balance family, social life, contract work, Jazzercise, pack leadership, money and my sanity has been a difficult task. So my Mantra for this week is to take my life by the reigns and start to take control!

Unfortunately, my life has been compared to Britney Spears in the past; I’ve had my ups and downs, but I do NOT think that I am Britney’s version of crazy. However, I can relate to the lyrics of her song ‘Circus’. My favorite lyrics from this song…

“There’s only two types of guys out there...one’s that can hang with me, and one’s that are scared.” Yep…sounds about right. LOL

Spaz Moment of the Day: Bluetooth Calls

Spaz

Bluetooth is a new technology to me…I have never used the ear pieces for cell phones because my ears are freakishly small. So I have little to NO experience with Bluetooth. Well when I got Carmen (my new VW Jetta) the stereo unit has Bluetooth capabilities to run your phone calls thru the actual stereo system. So it’s a hands-free way to talk on the phone while you are driving. I know, I know…this is not new to MOST people; but it was new to me.

I was driving home from teaching Jazzercise one night, chatting with my friend Cris and I pulled up to the Taco Bell drive thru for dinner (I know BAD Stephanie!). I told him to hold on while I placed my order, clicked on the ‘MUTE’ button and proceeded to order. Now those of you that know the stereo system in my car…it is VERY loud and since this is a new technology to me, I have NO idea how to turn down a phone call. So…at the TOP of his lungs Cris yells out “YES, I’d like to order a Big Mac”, now remember I’m at Taco Bell. The drive-thru lady scoffs at me and says “Ummm, we don’t serve Big Macs here”. I politely apologize and let the lady know that my friend was just kidding and place my order. As I am about to finish out my order, he starts up again about calling from some clinic and my tests have come back…at this point, I completely spaz out…drop my phone and hit the ‘Hold’ button. It places Cris on hold and starts dialing another friend. SERIOUSLY?!?! So I freak out and hang up on everyone. *phew* that was painful. LOL

I drive up to the window to pay and the drive-thru lady gives me the NASTIEST look and takes my payment with attitude. Then I realized…this is the Taco Bell right next to the high school…they probably get a lot of weird orders. So…lesson has been learned. NOTE TO SELF: When placing a drive-thru order, call your friends back.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted a Spaz Moment, so let’s hope more stuff starts happening to me. So, I am hoping to make this a blogging trend. If you are interested in writing about your ‘Spaz Moment of the Day’, you can grab the icon and link back!

MANTRA MONDAY: Walk it out

Mantra Monday

~ Walk it out ~

Lots of stress going on in this household! Trying to find a job, family drama, dog drama, etc. I’ve got lots going on…and one thing that has ALWAYS helped me is to take a walk. I’ve been slacking in that department lately. It is so therapeutic for me to turn on my iPod on, gear up the dogs and take a nice long walk around the neighborhood. This is good for me, and it’s good for my pups. So I am going to make it a point this week to try and “Walk it out” more.

MANTRA MONDAY: Customize

Mantra Monday

~ Customize ~

My life lately has been consumed with looking for a job. I am either over qualified or I don’t have enough experience for the jobs that I have applied for. This is extremely frustrating {especially the over qualified part – I know I am over qualified, but I’d still like to take the job!}. So I am dedicating this week to re-writing my resume and cover letters into 3 specific job roles. 1. Training Manager (my ideal job). 2. Instructional Designer. 3. Trainer/Instructor. *sigh* I am bored out of my MIND and I need a job!! So, let’s hope that doing this gets me in the door for interviews.

Grateful Posting: American Idol

~ American Idol ~

Oh ya, I said it…I’m a big time American Idol geek, I can’t help it. I’ve watched the show since the beginning, I love singers. I can not carry a tune, so I am fascinated by folks that can! Season 9 started last night, OH BOY OH BOY. This year, I have decided to run my own American Idol pool, in the past years I have been in other pools…but this time I’m hitting the big leagues and starting my own! And yes, folks…I’m SUPER excited about it. CLICK HERE if you want to find out more about my AI Season 9 Pool.

OK, I will admit that I don’t really like watching the show until the top 24 are picked because I find the people trying out can be really sad or they just want their 15 minutes of fame. I don’t get it. And I am also uber excited that Ellen is a judge, I love Ellen; but I will miss Paula, her whacky antics did make the show more entertaining! So there you have it! My grateful item for the day. ;)

I am calling out to all my blog readers and twitter friends and asking you to message me if you are interested in participating in my American Idol pool, its loads of fun!
