Reinvent the Wheels Show

Reinvent the Wheels

I have always been a bit of a gear head, I just LOVE cars. Even when I was 3 years old, I would point out the make & the model of cars driving down the road. So, as you can imagine I tend to gravitate toward people that like cars as much as I do.

When I was in college, I met my friend Leigh. Leigh is now the president of BRS Autodesign in California. So when he told me that he was going to be on the show ‘Reinvent the Wheels’ I was SO excited for him.

The show Reinvent the Wheels is about 3 creative’s that are paired up with auto design experts to come up with the perfect car for his/her job. It’s pretty cool! After he told me, I saw commercials all over the place and I would jump up and down and say…’hey hey, I know that guy’. LOL I know, I’m a dork, but I’m really excited for him. Plus he has a Weimaraner and anyone who owns one of those dogs is a good person in my book.

I highly recommend watching this series; you can catch it on YouTube and new episodes air every Monday…here is the first episode teaser. It’s an awesome show, and of course you have to root for my homeboy Leigh – he rocks!!

Mantra Monday: Accept Help

Mantra Monday

~ Accept Help ~

OK, OK…I’m not Wonder Woman {but I sure would like to be}.

wonder woman

I’ve been battling a lot of things in my life lately, and I’ve tried to do it on my own. This week, I’ve made it my Mantra to accept help. I can’t do it on my own anymore. There is nothing wrong with accepting help, it doesn’t make me weak. So…thank you to everyone that has helped me over the last few weeks with my injury, I appreciate it. And a big thank you to my family, I couldn’t not do or be anything that I am without you. Thank you!

Snowshoeing @ Hessie Trail

What a great time, I forgot how much fun snowshoeing can be! Dad took a Monday off so that we could head up to Nederland, CO and explore the Hessie Trailhead. So, I geared up Tucker in his backpack and headed to my parents house. Unfortunately, Jessy could not go with us because her hip dysplasia is getting worse. {Jessy stayed back with my Mom and helped entertain her during the day}

We found this trail from the ‘Snowshoeing Colorado – Second Edition’ book by Claire Walter. This trail was beautiful and what an amazing day of sunny mountain weather. I took lots of pictures and a few videos.

We started off on the trail, not needing the snowshoes. When we got to the start of the trailhead it was time to gear up. Off we went heading into the old town of Hessie, now we probably shouldn’t have let Tucker off leash, but we were the only ones there and we had his shock collar.

About halfway up the trail we found some old cabins and decided that would be the perfect place to stop and eat our lunch. There we sat eating our sandwiches and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

After lunch we explored a bit more heading up the mountain and realized there wasn’t much more of the trail so we headed back. On the way back, Tucker fell behind and all of a sudden we lost sight of him. OMG – this Momma almost had a heart attack…my baby is LOST!!!! My Dad and I searched for about 20 minutes before my Dad found him sniffing around a gully way off the trail. Obviously he wandered off the trail and headed in the wrong direction. I have NEVER been so happy to see that stinky boys face. *WHEW* that was a long 20 minutes.

Then to add to the drama of the day, we ran into this family that had gotten their H3 Hummer stuck in the snow. What a chore it was to try and get that thing out! Who would ever think that an H3 Hummer would get stuck in the snow? Click on the links below to see the H3 stuck.

All in all we had a fantastic day! Here are the videos and a link to the rest of the pics.
