MANTRA MONDAY: One Box @ a time

~ One Box @ a time ~


Have I mentioned how much I hate moving…because I do! A LOT! That being said, now that the essentials are all unpacked (YAY, I found my jewelry!) it’s hard to get those last few boxes unpacked and placed somewhere in the house.

So, this week I am going to make an effort to unpack at least one box a night—no matter HOW small or large that box may be. It will help me to feel accomplished and maybe, just MAYBE get my car back into the garage.


As I am going through all of these boxes, I am noticing I have a lot of useless stuff. I guess 7 years in one house; people tend to collect stuff they don’t need.

Step 1 unpack all boxes.
Step 2 yard sale!

So…here I go unpacking, one box at a time. Wish me luck!

Jazzercise One Day Sale!

THANKFUL THURSDAY: MyFitnessPal

Thankful Thursday

Today, I am thankful for MyFitnessPal.com. I have struggled with my weight over the last few years, and going to Weight Watchers was extremely helpful in teaching me smart eating habits. The biggest thing that I learned was to always write down what you eat…no matter HOW bad the calorie count is.

Well I have started to notice that I am back into the bigger size pants, so I have started to track my calories again. Using MyFitnessPal.com has made this so much easier; I didn’t want to pay for Weight Watchers eTools because I am not at the point that I need to go back to Weight Watchers, I just need to be more aware of the calories that I am eating.

So a friend of mine introduced me to MyFitnessPal.com. Not only can I track my daily calories, but I can put in my exercise stats, my weight and measurements. All while being linked to a great community of support.

So today, I am thankful for MyFitnessPal.com for reminding me of the items that I am using to fuel my body. Here’s to better decisions and some weight loss.

MANTRA MONDAY: Balance

Scale Balance

Life has been a little bit off-balance lately. With moving, launching a new satellite at work (working tons of overtime), home life, and in addition learning new Jazzercise routines…I am off--a lot. I know that some items have been dropped and it makes me off balance.

So my focus this week is to get back to my balanced and organized life. I had a great balance of work, home life and Jazzercise. And I WILL get back to this.

This week, I am going to start taking small steps to reorganizing my life (but mostly my house…it’s a mess right now. LOL)
